For those of you who may be familiar with AA, I have been doing the 3rd step prayer in the morning for awhile now, and though I have done all the steps before, I do the steps 10 and 11 every day in a recovery journal on my notebook, and I have seen God show me a lot. He shows me what His Word says about me, and that there will always be things I fall short of each day, but that the only One who had perfect adherence to His Word is Jesus Himself. As long as I am making a conscious effort to change from the sinful ways I have been in, and make an effort and plans for following His plan, and trusting in His plan, I am accepted by His grace and forgiveness. John 16:33 "I have told you these things so that it be you may have peace. In this world you will have troubles, but take heart. I have overcome the world." Sometimes it just seems like there is so much going wrong that things can't go right. Sometimes our mind lie to us and tell us that good is bad and bad is good, but God will prevail in the end. God will show us the truth, and there is always hope in Jesus, no matter what bad things may seem so dominant, God is the One in control of it all, no matter how big or small the problem or fear.

I remember a very wise person saying once that when we feel the worst about what we have done wrong, and feel like there is no hope, that we are close to God's heart, and this is evidence that He has not left us, because He is still tugging at us, showing us that we are guilty of so many sins, and that only He is righteous. Then we can realize it was Him showing us our state of being that on our own we can do nothing, but with His strength and forgiveness, we do have hope, and with Him we can do all things according to His will and for His purpose.

praise the Lord

So thankful for His grace and deliverance!
