  • Proverbs 3:5-8

Each morning I pray for God's will. For those of you who may be familiar with AA, I have been doing the 3rd step prayer in the morning for awhile now, and though I have done all the steps before, I do the steps 10 and 11 every day in a recovery journal on my notebook, and I have seen God show me a lot. He shows me what His Word says about me, and that there will always be things I fall short of each day, but that the only One who had perfect adherence to His Word is Jesus Himself. As long as I am making a conscious effort to change from the sinful ways I have been in, and make an effort and plans for following His plan, and trusting in His plan, I am accepted by His grace and forgiveness. John 16:33 "I have told you these things so that it be you may have peace. In this world you will have troubles, but take heart. I have overcome the world." Sometimes it just seems like there is so much going wrong that things can't go right. Sometimes our mind lie to us and tell us that good is bad and bad is good, but God will prevail in the end. God will show us the truth, and there is always hope in Jesus, no matter what bad things may seem so dominant, God is the One in control of it all, no matter how big or small the problem or fear.

I remember a very wise person saying once that when we feel the worst about what we have done wrong, and feel like there is no hope, that we are close to God's heart, and this is evidence that He has not left us, because He is still tugging at us, showing us that we are guilty of so many sins, and that only He is righteous. Then we can realize it was Him showing us our state of being that on our own we can do nothing, but with His strength and forgiveness, we do have hope, and with Him we can do all things according to His will and for His purpose.

Sorry I haven't been on in awhile, we live in the country and now that it is warming up I have so much to do outside to get ready for spring. I see that things are going well for you now and I'm glad, I pray that God continues to give you the strength you need to face each day and do what needs to be done. I hope you can keep us all updated on how things are going and I will continue to pray for you:) Have a great day:)

I read this today in Psalms and it really moved me...Psalms 37:1-9

"Do not fret because of evil-doers, Do not be envious of the workers of unrighteousness. For they soon wither like grass, and fade like green plants. Trust in God, and do good; Dwell in the earth, and feed on steadfastness. And delight yourself in God, and let Him give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Him, and trust in Him, and He does it. And He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your right-ruling as midday. Rest in God, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man doing wicked devices. Abstain from displeasure, and forsake wrath; Do not fret, also to do evil. For evil-doers are cut off; but those who wait in God, the shall inherit the earth."

Psalms34:19 "Many are the evils of the righteous, but God delivers him out of them all."  God never said our lives would be easy, but He did say He would be right there with us, helping us along the way. Carrying us if we need it.
