Dating
My dating partner no longer wants to be with me.
- When a dating relationship ends someone almost always gets hurt. Moving on can be very difficult, but it is possible
- Be careful after a dating relationship ends that you do not feel the need to jump right into another dating relationship. Take some time to just hang out with your friends and be yourself.
- Try to find at least one friend that you can trust to talk to about how much the breakup is affecting you. Don’t keep the feelings bottled up inside. You may also consider writing down your thoughts in a secret journal.
- In some cases a breakup is so painful that people turn to unhealthy things to help them cope. You will need to work very hard to avoid the trap of drugs, alcohol, self-injury, and other unhealthy relationships while you get over the breakup.
- Consider investing your spare time into volunteer activity helping others. This will help you get your mind of the breakup and will help you to focus on the needs of others.
