Pregnancy
What do I do: If I want a Christian perspective?
No matter what has occurred to bring you to this place in your life, you can be confident that God loves you; and he loves your baby as well. God knows and understands the way that you feel. Even though you may not be able to see how this could possibly turn out for the good, but God makes a promise that “in all things God works for the good of those who love him” (Romans 8:28). This does not mean that God planned for your pregnancy to occur, but it does mean that God can turn this very difficult situation into a very good situation. He can work supernaturally to meet every one of your needs; both physical and emotional.
God wants you to know that the baby that is growing inside you is loved and cherished by Him. God already has a future in mind for your baby. Because of this, don’t be persuaded by those who may encourage you to have an abortion. God wants to give both you and your baby a future. There are places out there that can help you face the challenges of being a single mom. If needed, there are even places that can take you in if you have no place to go (www.mercyministries.org).
Finally, while God wants to meet your physical and emotional needs, He is even more concerned about your spiritual needs. If you don’t have a relationship with Jesus Christ, God’s son, we encourage you to place your trust in Him so that you can receive the full benefit of a relationship with God.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he will make your path straight”. (Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV).
