What do I do: If I am thinking about injuring myself right now?
- Leave the room where the razor, lighter, or other self-injury device is located.
- Call or personally talk to someone who will try to understand
- Consider making a journal entry about your feelings right now. Write about what led you to this moment today, how you feel right now, and what you are going to do to keep from injuring yourself.
- Engage yourself in some other activity that can reduce your stress level.
- At first opportunity, seek out the help of a professional counselor.
