Worthlessness – I feel worthless.

Worthlessness – I feel worthless.

Gretchen Lawson: Are you having thoughts and feelings that you don’t matter, that you don’t have any value? Are you comparing yourself to other people and thinking you don’t measure up? Do you have an expectation that you are to be perfect, and when you don’t meet that expectation, you have thoughts and feelings that you don’t like yourself or that you hate yourself?

Gretchen Lawson: It can be normal at times to have these thoughts. It also can be really difficult and hard. These thoughts are not true. You matter, you are valuable. You were created with a specific purpose. You have unique gifts and strengths. It might be helpful to talk to someone about what those gifts and strengths are. It is really good to not listen to those toxic thoughts and feelings. They are not true. You are valuable, you have worth.
