Anxiety – What are the symptoms of anxiety?

Gretchen Lawson: Some of the symptoms of anxiety are feeling afraid, feeling nervous. It can be really normal to feel anxiety, especially in times of change, changing jobs, changing friend groups, moving to a new city. It can be normal to have some feelings of anxiety.

Gretchen Lawson: Having intense anxiety symptoms, feeling afraid all of the time. Feeling fear that interferes with daily activities. If you find yourself not wanting to be around people, feeling afraid to be around people, not doing your normal activities, it can be really helpful to seek out a person to talk to, that might look like a counselor, and talk about how you’re feeling.

Gretchen Lawson: Sometimes when we’re feeling anxious or anxiety, our mind can feel very confused and our emotions can feel very messy. They also can feel really urgent. It’s good to take the time to talk about how you’re feeling and seek help.
