Guest Video Blogger on Bullying Intervention: Brooks Gibbs

What should you do when you see bullying going on?  Should you take sides?  Should you defend the victim?

Brooks Gibbs is here again, to give us some practical advice that answers these questions.  He is going to help us understand what to do when you see bullying going on, and how you can be a part of bullying intervention. Brooks is a youth crisis counselor, bullying expert, youth speaker, author of Love is Greater Than Hate, and friend of TheHopeLine.

Bottom Line: You can’t always tell who the victim is.  You have two people who have offended each other and it might not be clear where the offense started.  To start bullying intervention, you can work one-on-one with the person involved in the bullying that you have a relationship with.  You can talk it out with them and encourage them to forgive the other person.  Be a messenger of forgiveness and help bring peace to an intense situation.
